Four Hurt in Southern California Wreck When Car Drives Off 210 Freeway

On Thursday, July 4, 2013, a terrifying late-night accident took place near the 210 Freeway in San Bernardino. According to news reports, the accident took place around 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, and four people were transferred to an area hospital as a result of their injuries.

According to reports of the incident, a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse flew off the 210 Freeway for an unknown reason. The car crashed down onto the section of West 27th Street below the freeway, causing injuries of unknown severity to two adults and two children and extensive damages to the vehicle. Witnesses and other drivers—including one who was reportedly almost hit by the airborne car while driving with her 6-year-old daughter as a passenger—called for help and attempted to assist the victims at the scene. All four injured victims were taken to the hospital, and there has been no update yet on their conditions.

No names have been released in relation to this accident, and the authorities in San Bernardino have not yet determined what caused the vehicle to leave the 210 Freeway and fall to the street below.
